The Department of Radiation Oncology provides all forms of radiotherapy and acts as a referral centre for the diagnosis, evaluation and management of patients with all forms of cancer.
The radiation oncologists specialise in the management of specific cancers, although they frequently treat all cancers. The management of most patients is discussed at multidisciplinary meetings and clinics to ensure optimal patient treatment.
Clinical services are provided at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, with regular outreach clinics at Concord and Dubbo Base Hospitals.
